TONIGHT! Artist panel discussion JAN 19 @ the Confed Art Gallery!

Long Series #1004 , by Stephen MacInnis

Artist panel discussion to be held at the Confederation Centre Art Gallery !

P.E.I. artists Stephen MacInnis, Sarah Saunders, and Damien Worth will discuss their work currently on display in the gallery. MacInnis and Saunders are featured in the Assembly Lines exhibition, showing through March 4th, and Damien Worth’s solo show Damien Worth: Painted Space is up through January 22nd.

“Aside from their Island backgrounds, Stephen MacInnis and Sarah Saunders have more in common than it might appear at first,” says curator Pan Wendt, who will moderate the artist panel. “MacInnis is a painter, and Sarah Saunders a sculptor who works primarily with ceramics, but both artists share an interest in exploring process, and the stories that surround the making of the work. As for Damien Worth, he is a very articulate young artist, and I think audiences will be very interested to hear what went into his paintings, as well as his explorations of video game technology.”

As part of the Confederation Centre Art Gallery’s ongoing ArtTalk series, the art panel is free and open to the public. It will be held on Thursday, January 19 at 7:00 p.m. Refreshments are provided.
