Bonita Mwiza (they/her) is an interdisciplinary artist originally from Kigali, Rwanda, now based in Charlottetown, PEI. Blending photography and drawing, her work explores visual poetry through themes of vulnerability, resilience, and identity. With a background in Tourism and Travel from Holland College, Bonita’s artistic practice is inspired by diverse landscapes, light, and textures she encounters on her journeys. This fusion of travel and art allows her to challenge conventional boundaries, creating deeper narratives that invite viewers to connect and reflect. Dedicated to collaboration, Bonita’s work also celebrates the intersections of culture and nature.
