Alexandra O’Sullivan will be running a full-day workshop in FilmPEI’s studio space to teach people how to use chroma key (green screen) in their film and media art projects. The workshop will focus on experimenting with unconventional chroma keying techniques in order to showcase how it’s used, as well as to encourage experimentation in the medium. Participants will explore the potential of using chroma keying to create illusions, make layered imagery, as well as how to use chroma key in a live context. Participants will be introduced to software and techniques which can be used alongside chroma keying to create interactive media artworks.
This course is open to all skill levels, no prior knowledge is required!
